How to reach us in Connemara, and a note on getting around once you're here.
Abbeyglen Castle is about 80km from Galway city, roughly a 1.5 hour drive through Connemara, with parking on site.
Fly into Shannon or Ireland West (Knock), both around two hours' drive away. Galway is the nearest city.
Clifden town is compact and walkable but a car is handy for exploring Connemara.
Taxis in the area are limited, so it's worth booking in advance for the weekend.
Availability at the castle itself is very limited, so the hotels in Clifden town are your best bet. Book early and mention the wedding when you call.
We’ll be spending a relaxed Sunday together, with dinner and drinks at Abbeyglen Castle, followed by music and more celebrations.
For those staying at Abbeyglen Castle on Sunday night, dinner is included in your room rate. If you’re staying in another hotel, please come and join us afterwards for drinks, music and more fun!
If you’d like to stay with us at Abbeyglen for the second night, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help with arrangements, subject to availability.

Yes, there's parking on site at the castle.
